Llewellyn and Partners Company Limited (LPC) was founded on 11 September 2019, a start-up company of the University of Hong Kong's i5 (Internationalization, Innovation, Interdisciplinary, Impact, and A.I.) BIM Research Laboratory that focuses on the state-of-art and cutting-edge R&D contributions of A.I. technologies to Building Information Modelling (BIM) for the delivery of future smart asset. Also, the member company of Incu-Tech Programme, HKSTP.
University-linked start-up with international background is commonly seen. LPC will focus upon the great demand for university linked international consultancy and R&D firm to engage in major public and private Architecture, Engineering, Construction and Owner-operated (AECO) sectors in Hong Kong using BIM as a revolutionary design and construction tool in global AECO environment.

Tang, currently Associate Professor in Building Information Modelling in the University of Hong Kong, Chartered Engineer (MHKIE), Chartered Construction Manager (MCIOB), Fellow of the Chartered institution of Engineering Surveyors (FCInstCES), Fellow for the Higher Education Academy in the UK (FHEA), former Deputy Chairman for the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (UK Chapter), and former member of the Construction Excellence BIM Task Group for the UK government.
In the last decade, Tang and his team led and involved in many large-scale BIM and information management R&D projects for infrastructure and smart city development in the UK, China and Hong Kong. In 2018, he led the development of a strategic framework for a national new smart city in China based on BIM, GIS, IoT and Blockchain technologies. During the same year, Tang successfully introduced the UK BIM level 2 (PAS1192/ISO 19650) into China helping the most significant asset management company to tap the value of digitisation, and its ecosystem reshaping.
